Match Report
FC Inglewood saw their 2nd game against AFA Knights to a
high-paced 1-0 defeat.
The K-9s started off the match brilliantly,
but failed to convert the vast possession into goal scoring opportunities.
The Knights were playing great counter-attacking game,
but K-9s' defence were able to hold their grounds.
Till about the 32th-minute,
a very well-composed one-two were executed down Knights left-wing,
breaking them through K-9s defense. 1-0, half-time.
K-9s made changes to their line-up to boost their offense,
and started promisingly into the 2nd period.
In search of an equalizer,
Elfee(14),
Alan(7),
Syahrul(18),
Bernard(38)
scuffed their long-ranged shots.
Efforts from Barry(28) were being smothered by the Knights' young goalie.
Good performance.
Individual brilliance of Knights' Shafiq(19) were outstanding,
and at many times had attempts to widen their lead.
Clock ran down cruelly for the K-9s and with 10 minutes left,
Haikal was brought in to add pace to the attack.
With immediate effect, his quick-feet earned a penalty,
only for Syahrul(18) to direct it straight to the keeper.
Great performance by Haikal after sitting out for 2years,
due to his knee ligament surgery.
Full-time 1-0.
Applause for both team which played high quality football.
